The mission of Biomedical Engineering is to advance knowledge and educate students in the area of medical engineering adapted to clinical field in the 21st century.

Organization

(Clinical Biomedical Engineering (CBE))
This laboratory drives our energies into education and research ultimately required for clinical support, the multi-scale measurement and control of biologic functions, e.g.proteins, cells, tissues and organs, the development of minimum invasive monitoring technique in surgery and medical diagnosis and the construction of these applied devices and systems.

(Micro Biomedical Engineering (MBE))
This laboratory takes charge of the education and research, which relates to the design of the devices of the characterization in micro size and of the minimally invasive medical treatment in living body, and also relates to the fabrication of the devices by micro-nano machining technology.

Education / study related to characteristics, mechanism and movement of small machine elements constituting medical equipment.

(Computer-aided Diagnosis and Biomedical Imaging Research)
The aim of our laboratory is to perform the education and the research, which relate to the design of the computer-aided diagnosis system by development of computer algorithms and applications for visualization and analysis of biomedical image data objectively and quantitatively.
